A cool start to the day which has turned out to be a cracker. Tongariro was looking good this morning and where I looked not a rod to be seen . Seems that despite the cooler mornings the lace moth still have the fish in the Tongariro under there spell and the flies that arrived on Monday are disappearing quickly. The Tongariro Delta is fishing well and Alex was in this morning with this great looking fish caught on a black booby. This fish had been on the Koura as can been seen by the rub mark on the under jaw.The winter season is looking very promising as far as the the rivers are concerned if the fish that are now starting to gather at the mouths is any thing to go by. No reports on the jigging over the last few days but I would think that it is still trucking on.
